New pictures of the XDCAM EX

Here are 14 high-resolution pictures that I have not to-date seen on this site. Learned quite a bit, such as the position of the "Focus Expand" and the hand loop rotatability. Hate the battery position and the way it sticks out into your chin. Love the Auto-Manual sliding ring and the protected position of the LCD when stowed. Hate the statement that it will be 7 lbs, bare.

The discussion is very good, and is a constant reminder that EVERYTHING until the official announcement sometime in July or early August is speculative, at best. Even then, the speculation that this EX is part of an EX SERIES, will probably take even longer to verify. Is this, in fact, the EX-1? Is there an EX-7?

Those pics go back to NAB 2007. Got some of my own while I was there.

It's a camera, not a toy, much of that weight's going to be in the lens I suspect. Compared to a F350 with good glass it's very light.

If I do buy one by the time I'm finished pimping it it'll be double that weight. This is one of the few cameras I'm excited anough about to pay for myself, all the others are way too expensive for me to buy.
