New-Problem Capturing-Help appreciated

Hello im new to the world of vegas editing
i hope some pro's here can lend me a helping hand.

real fast here is my set up
p4-1.7
256 mb ram
winxp pro clean install yesterday
sound card;
lynx L22

I have the latest drivers and patches installed Vegas is 4.0E. When through the setup on the lynx sight;

as you can see selecting LynxTWO enables the ASIO driver

also in control panel lynx is selected are record and playback device

Here is my problem;

during capture in the capture window when i select audio;
lynx record 1
lynx record 2 etc to 8
are listed but they are greyed out! and i cant select record1!

why cant i select any? The ASIO driver is being used so im at a loss why i can't enable recording since i have audio in and out.

im checking the forums now so any help would be appreciated

Ummm, are you trying to record audio or capture audio with video? Be specific as to what your trying to accomplish.

This would be better addressed in the Vegas Video forum. Although it's about the audio end of video the video forum would be more knowledgeable in this area.
