New project using a specific template

Just starting out with scripting, and I am currently looking for a way start a new project with a specific project template. I have found that I can create the new project and set some of the properties for that project, but so far, no luck in setting the template for which I want the new project to be created.

Any ideas?

There is no way to access the project templates from scripting. I had the same problem when programming VASST Celluloid and Ultimate S to convert 4:3 projects to Widescreen. I had to change the parameters separately. What was interesting is if you change all the parameters correctly and then go into the Vegas project Properties, it will select the correct template (e.g., the template changes to DV Widescreen just by changing the individual properties)

Right... you need to set each property individually. I've added this feature request to our list.
