new project way too big? WHY?

Ok. so I have made my first project in Platinum 10.0 vegas and I want to burn it to disk. The project shows it is 131 mb big???? WHY??? It is only 24 minutes long. Please help!!

131 MB is tiny.
But if it is 131 GB it is because you rendered as uncompressed.

Simple answer: You choose a DVD Architect MPEG-2 template in Vegas to render the video, and a DVD AC3 codec to render the audio.
