New Quicktime?

Always like to check and see if anyone has had any issues with the new QT 7.7.3...at least I think it's new.

"Is it safe?"

There have been spot reports of it not playing nice with Vegas 11 and 12.
Proceed with caution.

Oooo! Thanks! Nice to know...
guess I could always revert back if I wanted to test it out.

Revert in QT installs are not always clean

Which version is considered "good"?

Depends on your installed version of integrating apps like the SCS VegasPro and your OS level - be wary of Windows8.

QT Version 7.3.1 is rock stable supporting VegasPro 8.0b +. through Windows7

I have installed 7.7.3 on Win 7 and haven't noticed any problems with V12 (GPU OFF). I did load few .mov files but did not render to .mov.

I've had 7.7.3 installed for about a month with no problems - but I have Movie Studio 12, not Pro, and I only edit AVCHD files, not MOV ones.

Interesting fact is my Movie Studio 12 was failing to start until I update QT to 7.7.3.

"Revert in QT installs are not always clean"

That doesn't sound good....even after creating a system restore point?

No problems so far with VP12, Win 7, editing AVCHD files.
