New Songs Posted (Recorded Using Vegas)

Hey everyone!

I finally got around to posting our latest batch of songs. All three were recorded in my living room using Vegas Video 3.0 and Sound Forge 6.0. They're not the best, but I think they are pretty good for someone who has very little experience recording and mixing. What really matters is that I had tons of fun doing it.

Check them out at http://www.swelteronline.com/

Thanks,

Paul

Sound very very good. Did you do the whole thing yourself (record, mix and master)?
This sounds perfect. Really sounds good (even on my little $14 speakers).

Yep, I recorded, mixed, and mastered (if you can even call it that) everything. We actually recorded about 20 songs, but decided to work on these 3 for our "gig cd." Everything was done in Vegas Video 3.0 using various Waves plug-ins, the Cakewalk Tape Sim plugin, and beleive it or not, the BBE Sonic Maximizer plug-in. Sometimes, that plug-in actually works wonders on a track.

As for the recording process... we used Shure, AKG, CAD, and Nady mics. They were all sent through a Mackie 1604 with two Samson S*Com4s on the inserts. During the tracking, everything was monitored through a Samson S*Phone and Sony 7506s. During mixing, I used a pair of Tannoy Proto-Js powered by an Alesis RA300, a pair of Altec Lansing computer speakers, my Sony 7506s, my home theater system, and my car stereo system. I tried to get it to sound good on all the systems without comprimising anything. It was tough, but loads of fun.

Thanks!

Well, you did a great job. It really has a pro sound.
Good to hear what options these apps can bring to the table.
