New SoundForge Pro 18 - Vegas Pro Post Smartscription

With the new Sound Forge Pro 18 release, I was curious if a) there was anything new about it, as the promo site isn't clear about what's different between 17 and 18 and b) as a smartscription user, how do I go about getting it?

I saw mention of a potential coming update to Vegas, will Sound Forge Pro 18 upgrade be a part of that update for subscribers? This is just the first time since they've offered the smartscription price model that one of the software packages involved has a new release.

You'll probably have to wait to see when VEGAS 22 is officially announced which software is going to be included with it.

Regarding Sound Forge Pro 18, the third-party VST-2 display bug in Sound Forge 16 and 17 has been finally fixed as were 'some' of the other VST annoyances in SF 16 &17. New features are: Text-to-speech, Storyblocks and the 3D reverb (in the 'Suite' version).'Text-to Speech' is basically the same as in Vegas 365. It works good and will be useful to some who do not already have Vegas 365. Storyblocks can be helpful, but I did not explore it extensively. 3D Reverb: just what we need.. another reverb. it's worth a try.. everyone has they're favorites.. enough said. There are plans to return the legacy dBFS peak meter that was removed in SF-17. I expect SF 'Audio Studio' 18 to have the same bug fixes thpugh I was not given a beta test version, ot if it exists. My main contacts at Magix are no longer there for my 'insider' info.
