New System Configuration

I am getting a new PC for Vegas Pro (version 21). I'm not a pro and plan to use as a hobby. I've been using for a number of years but plan to upgrade,

My question is this an adequate configuration or should I do something different (pros and cons)

13th Gen Intel® Core™ i9-13900K (32 MB cache, 24 cores, 3.00 GHz to 5.40 GHz Turbo)

Windows 11 Pro, English, French, Spanish

NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 4070 Ti 12GB GDDR6X

32 GB: 2 x 16 GB, DDR5, 4800 MT/s; up to 64 GB

1 TB, M.2, PCIe NVMe, SSD (I already have fast ssd for my media)

750W Power Supply

Thanks!!!

Go ahead and up it to 64GB now. Memory is cheap.

Click on my picture to see my configuration. I finish about an hour of UHD every week.

This is how the sausage was made.

Impressive system. Make sure the case and cooling are up to the task with that power hungry CPU. The power supply may be too small for both- calculate carefully and leave headroom for transient spikes.

Personally I don't think i9s are worth the premium price and cooling/power needs. They seem designed to be the best on benchmarks rather than value. i7 and i5s perform well and are more balanced (see my signature for a system I built last fall).

I went with a 2TB system m2 drive for programs and cache. They do fill up.

A system like this should serve you well for many years so enjoy it!
