Thanks for your work! Like having a temporal noise reduction that works with Vegas...

Mike,
Can you set up a PayPal account vs Moneybookers? We've got a link to your site from the All Things Vegas pages, we'd like to make a donation for your work. However, I don't trust Moneybookers.
Your plugs are VERY useful when upsampling old media.

Mike,

These are really good, and much appreciated.

Thank you!

If you sign up with Paypal, I'd like to make a donation -- I just don't know anything about moneybookers.

Amen Paypal. Thanks for your very cool work. Darryl

Great stuff! How about porting over the VirtualDub resize filter as well!
MikeCrash wrote on 10/18/2004, 4:01 AM
Why don't you trust Moneybookers? It is(fast) the same company as PayPal. For me is PayPal unusable, because it doesn't accept payments to CZ, but Moneybookers do, also the fee is small - only 1% with maximum of 0.5 Euro. If you would make some donation, i'll be very glad :)

Also make sure there is another new filter for Vegas - Auto Levels, download at http://mikecrash.wz.cz

Have fun all

Wow, this one is just great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Though - I maybe found somewhat like a bug:
If part of a clip or the whole clip is missing one of the channels out of RGB it crashes Vegas. So if I have stuff edited before where there are fade-ins/fade-outs applied - it does crash because there is pure black in it. Same if there is signal with no green, no blue or no red in it. Or a signal of pure white.

Anyway - a great, great tool!!!

After trying to register to send you funds, I definitely don't trust Moneybookers. They want information that I can't verify will be held private. They are also the primary choice of criminals, as I've found during research.
Plus, they charge $2.50 USD just to set up an account, and they keep your credit card # on file. Plus, they want you to send a scan of your credit card, they charge ME 3% for anything I send, and they want a FAX of my credit card as well. And, it takes 3-4 days to set up an account, whereas with Paypal, it's instant, no cost to sign up.
I've tried, Mike.....I would like to send you some $$. That's why I've spent the last hour on Moneybookers site. And I'm more frightened than I was before.

Very interesting filter. You may still have a few small bugs. I started by setting all values to zero. I opened up the videoscopes and viewed the histogram. Will all settings at zero, I checked and then un-checked the plug-in to turn it on and off. When I did this -- even with all settings at zero -- the videoscope display changed noticeably.

With all settings still at zero, I moved the Color Temperature Correction from zero to 100. Not only did the histogram change noticeably, the Preview color also changed.

Spot, is it possible to use paypal to send money to moneybookers? Or could VASST set up an account to channel money to specific accounts hard or differcult to sent money to for development of plug-ins?
MikeCrash wrote on 10/19/2004, 4:22 AM
taliesin: thank you, ifound the bug abd will fix it in upcoming days

johnmeyer: the dark and bright values is number of pixels, which will be stretched to white, so setting to 0 will still make stretching but without cutting, the color temperatur correction parameter is for percentual correction - for 100% it wil stretch RGB values totally independently, so it will be in range 0-255

Spot: it seems i'm living outside the world, though we are in EU now, there is no way to specify czech account by PayPal, it can be Iraq, but not czech, hmmm, for moneybookers credit card is not needed, just make only bank transfer to your account with minimal fee, if you have internet banking, this is only minute, then transfer it to my account, it' simply, no credit card needed (i also don't trust to give credit card number to anyone, are you sure PayPal is not storing your credit card number?), it's on you to try it, i will however continue in my work (though not so hard :)), if nobody will try, this is price of living outside the word :(, i'm thinking about some transitions and other filters...

John,
Based on your detailed repsonses here in the forums, and addition to the user guide you were working on with the deshaker, I would love to see some guides for the plugins Mike have worked on.
I'm am so busy with work that I just don't have time to experiment with settings and would appreciate good reference material

Mike, you Auto Levels filter is excellent. Please continue with you work. We'll find a way to support you.
Spot|DSE wrote on 10/19/2004, 5:54 AM
Mike,
I registered for MOneybookers, gave them a 'throwaway' credit card, they charged me the 2.50, and promptly disabled the account for reasons they've yet not explained.
Maybe you and I should take this offline as I've got an idea or two.
Mail me at dse at sundancemediagroup dot com please?

Well done, I really like all your filters. Really good work. Still a few little bugs (I send you an email) but as software developer I know that this is normal :-)

And to all others reading this... trying APL2000 as video file player is really worh it. It's now my default video file player.

We only need to find another way to send donations to you. Don't you buy things over the internet ? As numerous sites also accept paypal... maybe you could invest the money you're receiving via paypal in other things you want instead of having it send to a bank account.

Updated Auto Levels filter version 1.0.1 is at

I tried this and I'm still not sure the controls are "wired" properly. If I turn on Videoscopes Histogram, the only way I can get the histogram to match what it looks like without the filter is to set all the controls to zero (amd Max gain to 50), EXCEPT the White Stretch Target Points, which I have to set to -28. I think you may have some offset or other weirdness going on there between the control and the actual setting.
dreamlx wrote on 10/22/2004, 12:04 AM
Well the issue I mailed mikecrash about is not resolved in 1.0.1. The color correction parameter semms not be handled correctly if using paste attributes to paste the filter to multiple events.

But that the video is affected if everything is set to zero, I think this is normal (if I am not totally wrong), as levels are adopted automatically to the specified range.

I guess this must be true from what Mike said in an earlier post. I guess I am just being dumb about how it is supposed to work.

dreamlx:
i have tried pasting attributes and it pasted it normally and it works - it added new instance of filter, but the previous is keeped, so there are two filters added, one with previois parameters and one with new, the properties are pasted correctly and works, so please explain more closely, what is not working, i don"t know what's wrong ???

GonzoMan:
now you can try with PayPal too...

Mike,

also my congratulations to you filters - works fine for me.

You have announced also an overlay function for the Matrox-cards - have you any indication when that will be available? Sounds great for me if that works ouf for Vegas really, as it does for Ulead and Adobe.
