Newbie - Event Videos

Im starting to get editing projects bcoz of Vegas 4. Im a print publications specialist and im having problems using scanned images in vegas (wedding videos + photos of bride and groom) when i use the track motion or the pan corp to resize and animate them via the keyframe or via 3d transitions the shadow and the glow effects also apply to the edges of the frame to gether with the pictures. i only want the edges of the pictures to have shadows and glows not the edge of the frame itself. I saved the files as png.

Also im looking for ways to make motion backgrounds (textures or images) is there a program or plugin/transition u could recommend?

Sorry if the questions seem stupid but i am that stupid when it comes to video editing. Tnx for the help in advance.

You can also check out the new background texture generator built into Vegas 4. In the Media Generators tab click on Noise Texture. There are quite a few presets and lots of possibilities for modifying them.

If there is a frame on the PNG, Vegas will think it belongs to the picture. You could zoom in to eliminate the frame, or save a modified copy of the PNG without frame.
