Newbie Question about NTSC DV render

When I render my project out NTSC DV 720x480 and playback the resulting AVI on my PC, the size of the scene is not 720x480, it's more like 320x240. Why wouldn't the final AVI be 720x480? Is it because NTSC DV is unable to be played back on the PC and the video I'm actually watching is some sort of PC interpretation? I'm really confused here:( I'm using Windows Media Player and have playback size set to 100%.

I'm rendering as '.avi' using NTSC DV template. In the custom settings, 'Include Video', 'Interleave every .250 seconds', and 'Create an OpenDML (AVI version 2.0) compatible file are checked.

Project Video Properties are as follows:

NTSC DV 720x480 29.97
Lower Field First
0.9091 (NTSC DV)
29.970 fps
Resolution Quality Best

The problem is with Media Player; it defaults to showing DV files at half size. Click on Tools / Options / Performance / Advanced (these choices might be slightly different depending on which version of Media Player you're using) and change the Digital Video slider to "Large". This will allow DV files to play back at full size.

Thanks Chienworks, I'm not at home right now, but I'm sure that'll do the trick:)
