newbie - want to make sure I can script this

Forgive the question if it's simple. I'm a newbie to Vegas Video (don't even own it yet), but a veteren Microsoft.NET programmer. I need to write an application that allows me to burn a series of MPEG2 files to DVD. The application will allow the user to choose from a huge library of files, arrange them into the desired order, assign chapter points, then hit "Record".

Can I write Vegas Video scripting code that will allow me to burn a DVD given the criteria above?

sincerely,

You can write a script that will allow the selection of the source files, add them to the timeline, add markers for your chapter points, and render to MPEG2 and AC3 formats for placement on a DVD. Once the files are rendered, you must manually create the DVD.

by "manually", do you mean the user would open Vegas Video and hit the "Record" button from there?

By "manually" I mean the person would have to open DVD Architect, import the MPEG files and then author the DVD.
