I loaded a demo of Mercalli Pro V2 Plug-ins. Pure magic!
Edit: I see what johnmeyer meant about Mercalli being buggy. Analysis settings apparently unchanged yet video is shaky after trying on different amounts of stabilization, yet it is pure magic when it works . . .
On a side note, The Mercalli intensity scale is a seismic scale used for measuring the intensity of an earthquake. It measures the effects of an earthquake, and is distinct from the moment magnitude M_w usually reported for an earthquake (sometimes misreported as the Richter magnitude), which is a measure of the energy released. The intensity of an earthquake is not totally determined by its magnitude.Wikipedia.
"Analysis settings apparently unchanged yet video is shaky after trying on different amounts of stabilization, yet it is pure magic when it works . . ."I mentioned this earlier, but it can't be repeated too many times. The key to getting good and consistent stabilization with Mercalli is the following principle:
When stabilizing video in Sony Vegas 11 using the internal stabilizer or Mercalli V2, best results are obtained when matching properties of source footage, project properties and render properties. If render properties must be different, render to an intermediate or a new track.
I've been meaning to post here what I got back, about Mercalli Easy, directly from ProDad:
"Mercalli Easy is our small version of Mercalli, it´s working full automatically. Mercalli Easy is not available on www.prodad.com, only here: www.mercallieasy.com. Your Mercalli versions have more options for stabilizing."
