NewBlueFX MSP * VMS platinum pro 9

Nel. wrote on 4/28/2011, 9:59 PM
A while back I installed VMS platinum pro 9, including the NewBlueFX MSP onto my new PC
I registered at the time these effects and transitions using my serial # provided on the card.
I didn't use them until yesterday..... I didn't see the watermarks onto the time line.... but saw them once I rendered my work..... !!! How do I remove these....
I don't see the register window. When I click on"I" in the interface I see a window with Options, up/down mouse control of circular knobs..., Cancel, Help, OK. I tried to watch on You tube... impossible to follow their instructions.... way too fast and too small prints.. anyway it is not for VMS.....
Thanks

There should not be any watermarks during preview or render if the serial number was entered during installation. Is this the MSP package that came with VMS 9? You might try reinstalling and entering the serial number during installation again.

Contact NewBlue and they'll sort it out for you. A similar thing happened to me a while back. A NewBlue customer support team member very promptly came to my rescue.

" could learn a thing or two from them re: Customer Support.

Can't you just add a clip to the timeline, open up the FX, click on the 'i' in the top right of the title and then click, register product?

If that doesn't work, uninstall, then reinstall and re-enter your serial number.

For the MSP package, the serial number has to be entered during the installation process. It doesn't have an option to register in the GUI - must be done during installation.

If the FX came with VMS8, you'll need to install it and authorise the NewBlueFX within VMS8 before they'll work without the watermark in VMS9.

If I should have started a new topic, I apologize.

I am a registered owner of Sony Movie Studio Platinum Pro 9.

The problem I have is the blue card with the activation number for NewblueFX MSP, was not included in the retail box I purchased.

I have contacted NewblueFX and talked to a representative about this issue and he suggested I contact Sony.

I emailed Sony explaining the situation serveral months ago and they said NewblueFX would help me with this prolbem.

I'm being passed around and not sure how to get the help I need.

Your ideas and suggestions to resolve this issure will be appreciated.

Robert, Sony handles the distribution of serial numbers for the bundled products. Sony Customer Service can give you an appropriate serial number for your MSP package. I do know there were some versions that did not include the MSP package but they should also be able to tell you if yours was one of those cases.

jetdv -

I should have been more detailed -
The version I have is:
Vegas Movie Studio 9 Platinum Pro Pack. The box lists - Over 100 3D transitons by NewBlue.

When I install the software, I get a menu that has an option for installing the MSP pack. I browsed the DVD and there is a folder called Newblue MSPP that contains the NewblueFX files.

I was in contact with Sony and they sent me an activation number. Unfortunately, the number does not work. I keyed the number 3-4 times and re-installed the software and keyed the number several more times. I am now waiting on a reply from Sony for futher assistance to resolve this issue.
