Hey great news, NewBlueFX.com's finally released a lot of new video fx plugins this past week, there's a sale if you're a prior customer, too.

I just bought them and they look great, a lot of work went into them. I use NewBlue's audio and video plugins on 100% of my projects, so it's great to see a lot of new fx available... highly recommended!

Yep, noticed that also last week. Ordered the FX-series myself.

Didn't find too much use for the audio tools, since most are already present in Vegas.

Nevertheless, they prove that it is possible to make fully functional 3'rd party plugins for Vegas also. Now, if I just could get Boris Red integrated, that would be something.

Right- agree re Red.. .audio tools, the one I use, 100% of the time, is NewBlue's "crisper" plugin ... it rocks... also the 'cleaner' ones are good for reducing hum/noise, a bit better than sony nr ..

I must say... I've bought almost all of NewBlue's previous plugins, but these new ones seem to be sorta childish transitions that I really wouldn't have use for. I went to the link very excited, but once I tried out the transition samples, I was disappointed. I might use the Film Effects, though.

Hi Ken

Many thanks for bringing these new transition's/fx's from NewBlueFX to our attention.

I downloaded the trial versions, and was very impressed, and have now purchased them.

Thank you once again.

CClub,

That was my first impression with many of the transistions (actually, I very rarely use anything other than dissolves, cuts etc),

However, if you haven't already, I would say it's worth your while d/l'ing the demos and having a play. Some are gimmicky I agree, but there are some gems in there which - when used sparingly and with subtle settings - can look really effective.

As for the Film plugins, well worth a try. And there are also a couple of new FX released with v2 of the original packs.

I'm not sure how many other ways there are to do the same, but one of the advantages of an FX such as New Blue Film Looks is that it is an effect rather than a script, so you can use one of Vegas' great strengths - watching continuous looped preview whilst tweaking the settings.
