NewBlueTotalFX360 in Vegas 19

SWS wrote on 5/13/2025, 9:14 AM

Lately I noticed that my NewBlueTotalFX360 filters weren't showing up in my old Vegas Pro 19 install. I did see that NB needed an update so I did that, thinking they would show up, but still don't see 'em. Boris effects are there and all the others but no NB. I'm sure I'm missing something simple but any thoughts?

Try clearing the VEGAS cache. If properly installed but not showing up, that will typically get them to show up again.

And being a complete idiot where might that cache be located?

Hey Ed got another NewBlue related issue. I have an old Adobe CS6- After Effects that I use from time to time. Still does what I need to do but I'm getting the message "After Effects can't continue: NewBlue Exporter plug-in generated an exception.." and I have to shut down. Is there a way to "disengage" NewBlue easily while I work in AE or a way to use it in this old version? While it would be nice to use the NB effects in AE I guess AE is just too old to work with 'em.

The NewBlue products require CC (and some require newer CC versions). If you look on the NewBlue website, you'll see they all state CC as the minimum for all current products.

If that error is happening on startup, you'll need to remove the plugins from the Adobe plugin folder. You should find them at:

c:\Program Files\Adobe\Common\Plug-ins\CS6\MediaCore\NewBlueFX

CC plugins will be in the "7.0" folder.

Thanks I figured CS6 was too old for 'em but really don't need them for the little I do with AE.
