Night sky effect

Hi everyone,

I am wondering whether it is possible to manually create an effect in Vegas that would look something like the night sky with twinkling stars etc? Is this something that is "doable" with Vegas?

Under media generators / noise texture, there is a preset called starry sky.

Set a beginning and end keyframe, and try varying a slider slightly - maybe start with "Progress" - this can simulate twinkling.

Nother way, slightly more realistic to my eye, is to use black generated media, drop on the noise filter and tweak from there. Exceptionally marginal movements of the noise slider, and using minute pan/crop on the black, gives a great image.
there is a veg file, I think it's called Starship or something like that, on the VASST site.

Spot, couldn't see find that veg on the VASST site... will try making it on my own though.

Thanks for the tip about the starry sky - I saw that, but couldn't work out the "twinkling" effect!

I couldn't find it either, might have been deleted. I recreated it, it's up there now as Starry_Sky.veg
