No 25P BD mode for PAL Land?!?

I've just started looking at Blu Ray options in DVDA 5 and have noticed that there is no 25P option in the drop-down for framerate. It's a bit of an omission. How do others get it to play with 25P footage? it has 24P - why not 25P? Why only 25i, when all Blu Ray (IB) will be played on progressive, digital displays?!?

Is there a method for forcing 25P in DVDA?

Under PAL 25P is not part of the Bluray specs, only 25i.

Yes but given that in PAL land, everyone is generally shooting 25p/50i, why isn't it included in the specs?

I don't know why 25p isn't included in the PAL BD specs (it is included in the DVD specs) but it isn't an omission in DVDA itself. Anyway, I keep shooting in 25p because it gives me one stop more and I can get clean stills from the footage.

The only progressive mode in the Blu-Ray spec allowed is 24p. You will need to convert your footage to 24p to be in Blu-Ray progressive, otherwise you will need to interlace it. Going from 25p to 24p is not that big of a deal. Of note, 30p footage is also not accepted in the Blu-Ray standard, only 24p. If you have 480p (24, 25, or 30 fps) material, also a problem when going to Blu-Ray as that is not accepted at all only 480i. Welcome to the world of Blu-Ray!
