No audio

I am a first time user of Vegas Movie Studio Platinum Edition and have captured video events that can be previewed, video and audio, from the Project Media window.
However when these video/audio events are inserted across the timeline the audio track does not play. The audio track is not mute and I'm not sure how I may have turned it off.
Can anyone advise me what to do?

If that's the case and you can preview the audio from the media but not the timeline, then this is a bug. What kind of video this is exactly, what format of A/v?

Thanks. The events are avi files. I have just restarted my computer and the problem has disappeared. I can't explain why but will now persevere with the project.
