no audio

Can anyone help me fix the audio.
When I play a File in the Proyect Media Window or in the Timeline Window to be seen in the Preview Window I get only the video, but no audio.
I uninstalled theVegas Movie Studio 9 (Platinum Pro Pack) and then I installed again to see if this will fix the problem, but no luck.
I do not know if is something with Windows Vista or something else.

I went to the www.sony.com site I could not find the place on that page that can help me to try to update to 9b. I will appreciate your help. Maybe I am so frustated with this program that I purchased it like a month ago, I have not be able to do nothing with this program.
If some one can tell me how is use the "MediaInfo" program with a file to find all the properties of it.

Just go to --> http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/download/updates/moviestudiope
Make sure 9.0b is selected on the dropdown list and click "download". Then install it over the existing version. No need to uninstall.

Hi.
Updating to 9.0b did the trick.
Now I have the audio and the video in the Timeline window and I can see the video and hear the audio in the Preview window.
