No audio

I am new to all this and was going ok, i could open up an avi file and it would load up the frames and then build the peaks for the audio. But now for some reason, i dont think ive changed anything in the settings, it wont open up the audio for that file. i wasnt sure what to do, as it was working fine before, so i uninstalled it and then reinstalled it but the problem was still there. can anyone help!?

I just had the same damn thing happen LOL and actually I was here to see if anyone knew ... If anyone does know please help ! it is freakin me out

Dood !!!!!!!!!!1 I figured out how to fix the problem what u need to do is remove Fraunhofer codecs and reinstall them the problem is finding the codec anywhere other then paying for it or trying to get it off the windows cd...
