I am rather new to video editing but i can easily figure out how to use the program and have edited a video from my camera. Now i have got to the point where i want to burn it to a dvd. After successly burning it i try it in my dvd player and it is there and plays but there is no audio. I need some help to figure out why this is happening. i have looked through the manuals and looked online in the knowledgebase. i found a possible fix there but it did not work. Do i need to render it a certain way before burning? I hope someone can help me!

when you render in the studio it creates two files -the video portion and the sound portion. All you need to do is open up your DVDA project and make sure it sees the audio portion which is usually in the same location as a wav file. click the dvd preview to verify you have made the right connection (and hear sound), then close that and burn your project again. And yes I know - a sophisticated program that doesn't know to do that already - what gives? I think there are so many option as to how to put your dvd together they (Sony) leave that decision to you.

If there is no sound file that means you somehow got off the default setting and rendered only the video in VMS (which IS an option) which I believe means a rerender there (you could render just the sound and put it in the same place as the rendered video - save time)
have fun with it!
