NO audio after Capture

This is probably a new user problem.. After Capturing a scene from tape I have no sound. The capture goes well... I here sound during capture... but when the capture has been saved and played back I have no sound. I'm using an ATI all-in-wonder card. the video looks good but this sound problem is killing me . I have looked at all setup and preference screens. everything looks OK, What am I missing?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Using the firewire input on the all in wonder? Or using analog inputs?
Firewire carries the audio stream, so if you are using a firewire input, then you will have audio, somewhere. I don't know the all in wonder line any longer, but they used to be a major pain in the butt. Lots and lots of posts about them in past threads.
