When importing a file to Vegas in the timeline i only get the video but no audio. and i've tryed downgrading quicktime and or changing the .dll file within the folder but so far no luck. can anyone help with a different solution? also i don't have Quicktime Pro and renaming the extension to .mp4 doesn't help either.

I haven't tested files from this camera yet.

Can you upload a 20 sec sample somewhere? I'll be glad to test it and hopefully come up with a solution.

Thanks for doing your research and for trying the standard routes first.

sure i can upload it, it's a 30 second long clip that i recorded, i recorded a show on tv in 1080p, so the file is like 44 MB where do you want me to send it to you?

I can only take 20M attachments.
MediaFire maybe?

Movie is h.264/AAC. Audio opens fine in Vegas with file extension changed from .mov to .mp4

-- Quicktime 7.6
-- Original .dll file
-- Make sure you are renaming extension correctly in Windows. If your extensions are hidden (which is the default) this will not work.

See the renaming video about half way down.
