No audio playing

I recorded some footage and separately recorded my voice in vegas. When i play it back i say the sound waves moving on the volume control thing but for some reason no volume is coming out of my computer, and the volume on it is turned up, also the video audio doesnt work. Thanks guys

You select your audio device in Preferences.
Also make sure your audio tracks are unmuted.
That's for starters. There are several possible reasons.
