No audio/Wacked audio during playback?

I have a movie ripped and it plays perfectly fine in windows media player and it has for the past 3 days or so that I've had it ripped. But yesterday after I loaded it in Vegas I either get the video playing with no audio/sound or I get different audio playing at different parts in the movie. I uninstalled Vegas and re-installed it with the same result. I can play the movie fine in windows media player, the audio matches up perfectly with the video without any glitch. Does anyone have any advice on how to fix this? I'm thinking it has to be the movie because I can play other TV shows or whatever in Vegas with no problem at all. Any suggestions as to what could be wrong and how I could fix this? Thank You in advance!

Where did you rip this movie from? Was it a commercial DVD?

If you open a clip from this video in a program like G Spot or Media Info, what does it show for its audio and video codecs?

If your video is made up of longer clips, are you allowing the program a minute or two to conform your video after you add it to your project and before you start editing?

From a free dvd ripper online, Magic DVD Ripper. I've used it a million times before without any problem.
It has audio from like (example) the beginning of the movie in the middle.

I know you say you've used this DVD Ripper successfully before -- but it appears you're still ripping from a commercial DVD ("Divergent").

If that's the case, know that many commercial DVDs have copy-blocking software built into them to prevent bootlegging. That could well be a factor in your case.

Also, 32-bit audio is non-standard, and that too could be contributing to your issues.

Huh. Okay, then. No more ripping for me. Thanks for all your help!
