I just purchased Sony Vegas Movie Studio 4. Coming from Pinnacle Studio 8. I was hoping that this program would be my savior. It almost is.
I capture video from my JVC GR-DX97 camcorder using my 1394 port. That seems to work fine. I can add clips and play within Studio. Audio and Video seem to be both fine.
If I go to "Make Movie" and select Make a DVD, the Video MPG file renders fine. I get no audio in the AVI file. The AVI audio only works if I select a very small clip (less then 1 minute) and don't have any transitions or anything. The times when it wasn't working was only using two clips of 1 minute each. I really only got this audio working one time.
If I "Make Movie" and select Save to Hard disk.. and pick regular Mpeg 2 for NTSC DVD. Then everything works fine within the MPG file (Video and Audio).
Is there an easy solution to this, or should I just create a ticket? I was hoping I didn't have to endure another round of bug fixes and patches like with Pinnacle.
BTW...
My system is an AMD Athlon XP 3200+, 1GB RAM, ATI Radeon 9500 video card, One 120gb and one 85 GB hard drive. Both defragged with plenty of free space. Windows XP professional SP2 with all the newest drivers and patches for my hardware.
Help!?
