No BCC 10 for Vegas?

monoparadox wrote on 3/8/2016, 11:36 AM
I just received another notice that a competing platform (Adobe) has received an update to BCC 10. One has to assume there will be no BCC 10 release for Vegas. Also noticed that Sony Pro was packaging a competing product (not Catalyst) with a Sony hardware package.

Just more evidence that Vegas 13 is probably at the end of the line and who knows where or how fast Catalyst arrives in a form that in any way comes close to Vegas' capabilities. That said, Vegas still does virtually everything I need for the moment.

However, it seems it's getting time to consider future options and get on with the learning curve.

BCC 10 for Sony Vegas and other OFX support will be released soon, little
before NAB 2016, And a Mocha plugin version afterwards... So stop worrying!

@ Steve Rhoden

I noticed that there are some new Sony cameras coming out soon so those should be on display at NAB 2016.

One of them that I might be interested in is:

I had spoken with a Boris rep about a month ago and was told there will be a V10 for VP.

I was told the same thing, too. In the meantime they're releasing updates for other platforms. If they are, they're in no hurry.

Pity BCC OFX is always the last out of the gates. But Vegas is not the only one
waiting, so is Resolve and all other OFX hosts.
I guess a lot of codes to write and so forth for all the varied OFX platforms!

It's not just Sony. My Boris rep says no BCC for my Timex Sinclair platform either.

Supposedly OFX was the "open" standard.
