No detection of CD writer

I am using a Cyberdrive CW088D cd writer. I have uninstalled Easy Creator and updated to the latest ASPI driver. My problem is that I am unable to write to either VCD or CD as VF 2.0c does not detect my cd writer. Can anyone please help.

Is it only VF that doesn't find it? Also, tell us the process you're using for rendering etc.

I have the exact same problem....is your CD writer a slave or a master, I think VF has problems when it is slaved?

CD Writer is a master. I have fixed the problem by uninstalling Easy CD Creator and installing Nero v5.5. All works fine now. Thanks

Video Factory always fails to detect a device for me if I install updated Adaptec ASPI drivers. It works fine with the one that ships with Windows.
