No Effects-External monitor

My external monitor is working hooked thro a DAC-100 convertor.
However, effects don't show up here...instead they appear in the vegas preview window. Is there a effective solution ? Thanks.

Maybe you have accidently turned off "Recompress edited frames" which is to be found under "Options/Prefernces" Tab "Video Device".

Also check to make sure the split screen button in the preview window is not pressed in. I have mine set to "select all" so when I press it all the effects are bypassed.

My external preview now works fine with "Recompress" turned on.
