no effects in plug-in chain

Hi,
I appreciate your quick responses on this forum. You are very helpful.

I just removed my Movie Studio 8 and replaced it with Platinum Pro Pak. I hope I can get used to the layout, but I am having slight problems in this upgrade.

When I click on the icon on the film clip to add an effect, nothing shows up. I can drag them from the tab window above, but the effects should be in the icon when I click on it.

Second, When I preview clip (it's set on auto), it plays realllly slow. I don't remember that happening with my Movie Studio 8.

I hope I can get these little issues resolved because I'm looking forward to using the new effects and transitions as well as using the Forge program. My Movie Studio 8 worked great... the 9 is frustrating me a little bit

Would you please post your system specs in your profile?

Are you installing the application as a non-administrator? If so, I'd suggest installing it as a user who has admin rights.

BTW, you do not need to uninstall VMS8 to use VMS9. As far as I know, they can co-exist happily. If you'd like be productive while your VMS9 issues are sorted out, just reinstall VMS8 again.
