Yep, VV is for ohci compliant cards, nothing more. If you want more, get on the case of the manufacturer of the hardware to work with sofo on it. It seems like it would be too large an effort.

However, with computing power being what it is now, it's much more econmical to do everything in software for edit/effects now than it was say, two years ago. The same should hold true for mpeg encoding in the next few years.
