No longer accepts iPhone videos

Hi, I have Movie Studio 15.0 and I was always able to copy .mov files from my iPhone and then convert them to MP4. Now, Movie Studio does not allow me to drop in .MOV files (I only see audio). And if I use Handbrake to convert, they appear over bright. I also no longer see their preview in Windows Explorer (I have Windows 10), so maybe it's a codec issue?
Here is the .MOV file information from MediaInfo:
MPEG-4 (Quicktime): 22.5 MiB, 21 s 35 ms
1 video streat: HEVC
1 audio stream: AAC LC

First Video Stream:
8 564 kb/s, 1920*1080 (16:9), at 30.000 FPS, HEVC (Main 10@L4@Main), HLG

First Audio Stream:
203 kb/s, 44.1 kHz, 2 channels, AAC LC

Afaik VMS15 is not able to import and edit HEVC encoded mp4. Try Shutter Encoder to convert to AVC mpr4.

Thank you for your comment. Do I need to change something on my iPhone to record in a different encoding? I don't think I changed anything, but some time ago I upgraded to the latest iOS. My installed QuickTime is 7.7.9 which seems to be the current one. Do you think Shutter Encoder will be better than Handbrake? As I mentioned above, Handbrake (which I used to use in case of such an issue) now makes videos very bright and pretty much unusable. Do you know what may be the reason for this? And perhaps there is a way to fix this? Thanks.

Shutter Encoder appears to have the same problem: the output video is extremely bright.

The issue may be that I recorded on iPhone using HDR. I read that you can use Handbrake or Shutter Encoder to convert from HDR to SDR, is this correct? If so, can you please guide me how to do this as what I read is confusing. Or perhaps you can recommend a better tool to convert?

Sorry, I don't have an iPhone neither do I have experience with HDR recordings. Best record directly in SDR, when SDR should be the final output.

There should be also another issue, since a phone records with variable framerate instead of constant framerate. This issue could be solved by Shutter Encoder.
