No longer can import PSD layers to timeline

I'm using SVP 12. I've created a 2 layer PSD in Photoshop and imported it into my Vegas project. I right click and drag to the timeline and select to add across tracks. It is only adding the PSD to the one track - no layers. I've tried this with PS4 and PS cc 2015 with same results. I've done this before without problem, but not since going to Windows 10. Can someone with Win 10 try this and see if it works for you?

EDIT: I did find an old 2008 PSD that I could open as layers so it must be a problem with newer PSDs in Vegas 12. I DID try saving a new one in compatibility mode but that still didn't work. Anyone know of a workaround?

Thx,

Jerry

I think the first thing to try is to download the Vegas Pro 13 trial, and see if that makes a difference.

Add an extra layer to bottom most layer.

When placing psd files across tracks in Vegas, I've found that "8 bit" files work best. Hope this helps

Thanks Apple Jax, that worked; I was inadvertently using 16 bit. Surprisingly, I am even able to use an 8 bit smart object and retain the layers in my Vegas 12.
