Just remember that only the render-only installations can not use
MPEG-2. You can still use network rendering to create an MPEG-2 movie,
you just need to choose a different segment format and stitch on the
editing machine... usually you'd create a YUV template or choose a DV
template for the segment format.
Stitching does take a bit longer when it also needs to do MPEG
encoding but you can still get faster render times (depending on the
situation).
