No New Keyframes Please...

Ok I'm tired and I need help here please...

I'm working on some fx on a clip...curves, chroma blur, chroma key....

Footage looks great but everytime I change something in an effect, it adds another keyframe. How can I make adjustments on my fx paramaters without adding a keyframe again ?

I'm wanting all fx to be constant thru out the clip...

In the bottom of the event fx window, next to the diamond shaped icons for your keyframes, you will see an icon with an "I" and a lock. Make sure this is not selected.

Make sure any/all keyframes are selected before changing the effect, I'd say...

Sounds like you may have "sync cursor" turned on? That means that any FX changes will be applied to the current "timeline position" and it will create a new keyframe containing the new values you just selected. Either switch off "Sync cursor" Icon on the lower left of the FX settings / keyframe window.. OR make sure you re-position the current timeline position to the first keyframe in the effect.

I find this a pain in the neck. By default in V4 no FXs used keyframes unless you told them to. It seems to work the opposte way in V5 which means just one more thing to remember to check.

Huh? It doesn't do it for me... or at least when it has been doing it, it is invariably because I had sync cursor on and forgot.

Yeah....it was doing it for me without sync cursor on...hmmmm. I'll see if it's still happening next time i'm into it.
