No Playback at all in Vegas Pro 9d

Cursor doesn't respond with the space bar or Shuttle Pro,..

This error window comes up;
"An error occurred while starting playback.
An unsupported media type was requested"

Under details
"The ASIO device M-Audio Delta does not support the current sample rate"

Makes no difference if HD, SD or nothing is on the timeline.

Never had this happen,...9d?

This is an audio problem. What is the sample rate of your project and what sample rate does the M-Audio Delta support? It could be that some other audio application has reset the Delta's sample rate on you. Make sure they are both set to 48,000.

Thanks Johnny.
Things are working fine today.
Must have been a conflict between one instance of VP9d used for capture and another for viewing project on time line.
Make sense?

I had a very similar problem.

Quicktime was the culprit.

Quicktime was defaulting its sampling rate to 44100 in the quicktime interface.

My card was defaulted to 48000.

So everytime a quicktime file was imported into my project (didn't have to be in the timeline) Everything locked up just like how you are describing.

Aha - this or similiar could be the reason why 9.0d - as a new thing - occasionally generates an audio proxy automatically and shows a message about it.
