No Recompression Render Help

I'm trying to render some HDV Footage of a performance I shot (M2T file strait from camera) back to a M2T file without recompressing. I'm not adding effects...just doing straight cuts. I picked the HDV template under MPEG2 with the correct framerate but when it renders, only half of the frames say "no recompression required" in the preview window (while rendering). It's pretty much every other frame that says "no recompression required".
Why is that not happening for all my frames?

Thanks

These are the things that must match:
Dimensions
PAR
Field Order
Average Bitrate
Max Bitrate

After that, you would need to look at the GOP structure.

All those settings are the same. It's HDV so the bitrate is 25Mb/s and that's what the HDV template is set to.
I chose the HDV template because everything matched. Is no recompression rendering only available in the Blu-ray templates?

Half the frames? Do you mean half the events/clips? It will not kick in on very short clips.

No, I have only one event/clip on the timeline. It seems as if every other frame needs to be recompressed...it's not exactly every other frame but it's close. It's about 10 minutes long. It's actually taken from a 20 minute clip but I cut off the begining and the end.

Why don't you upload a clip somewhere of the .m2t that won't smart render.
I've never had a problem getting this to work in 8.0c

I will do that when I get a chance. I'll have to recapture a smaller portion because the one I have is way too large to upload.

I actually just realized what I was doing wrong...
I had the framerate set to 29.976 when it should have been set to 29.976 + 2-3 pulldown.
