Howdy,
I'm new to using Vegas as an audio app (was always a Cakewalk/Sonar guy). Anyway since I use Vegas for video (V 3-5) I'm trying to convert totally over to Vegas for audio-only projects also.
I dusted off my analogue mixer and fed a mike into my Delta 1010 and everything seemed to be going fine until I tried to turn the freshly laid audio track down. The (imported) audio track above it works as expected but the slider and mute have no affect on the newly recorded track. For the first time I'm using the Delta ASIO drivers to take advantage of input monitoring in case that's relevant. I'll bet it's simple as usual but I can't figure it out....any ideas?

EDIT: actually the slider does work but you can still hear it (very well) when turned all the way down or muted because the almost all of the signal is routed to bus A.
I feel like an idiot but why is sound still coming out bus A for the one track when Master is selected for both tracks?
