No sound after 1hr 40 mins

My project is 1hr 55mins long. After 1hr 40mins 51secs, there is no sound...... Yep, sound is there in the recording, Vegas shows the audio track on the timeline, sound is fine up until this point, but as soon as it hits this magic mark, sound is displayed on the output meter as normal but not in the mater bus pane and no sound is on the render either. If I move the same clip before this point, sound is fine and as expected. This has been an issue for some time which I have noticed during editing but have worked around, only now have I come to render and hoped all would be OK - but it's not!

Quite simply, 1:40:51 is as good as a mute switch both on timeline and renders.

Advice very much appreciated

Solved in a round about way..... copied the entire contents into a new project..... works.

I have no idea what was wrong with the last one. Things are sent to test us.

I am glad you were able to work around this. I am curious, what version and release of Vegas Pro are you using? I routinely do 2 hour projects, and have not run into this. I am on version 13, release 453.

Also, what template were you rendering to? And what format is your source video/audio?

Just a guess.. and this happened to me, getting the same result (except for the time point); the mute automation was activated by pilot error somehow, and the indication is easy to overlook on a lengthy TL with many events.
