No sound coming from the audio track

I am currently using the latest install of Vegas Pro 15 (build 311). There's no sound coming from certain audio files and the one's that have audio has a high pitch scratchy sound. I also can't seem to locate any mp3 files in the Explorer where I usually drag and drop from. I can only do that through the folders. I already tried to disable the So4 Compound Reader for AVC/M2TS and it didn't have any affect.

Often, if you've put new files into a folder and then go to look for them in Vegas, they won't show up. This frustrated me years ago when I first started using. Once I realized that Vegas' EXPLORER window acts like a web browser, and you need to hit F5 to refresh, it stopped bothering me. ProTools automatically lists new files in its windows.

No, that's not issue. For some reason none of the songs are appearing even after I've refreshed it. Anyways, thanks for trying help.

Hmm. Now i'm curious why. I know that Vegas won't show any file that isn't a playable file in its explorer window. So if the extension got changed, that might prevent files from appearing. Also, make sure that you're actually in the Explorer window, and not the Project Media window. The two tabs often appear next to each other.

Yeah, I think it might have something to do with the extension. And I also made sure I was on Explorer and not the Project Media window.
