I have a Sony Handycam SR190E and I can move the mpeg-2 files it creates to my pc no problem. I can play them back using Sony Picture Motion browser, Windows Media Player and RealPlayer, and the sound is fine.
However, when I import them to Sony VMS and drag them to the timeline the video tracks work perfectly, but the sound tracks are not populated at all. Can anyone help with this?
I can't capture the files directly from the camera using VMS as it doesn't detect the camera's hard drive. The camera doesn't have a firewire port.
