No Thumbnail On Video After Rendering Using HEVC/AAC MP4

Hey!

I would like to ask about my problem on Vegas Pro 17 build 421 regards on rendering and video thumbnail.

I normally use my CPU (AVC/AAC) for rendering (it has thumbnail after rendering) but since I got a new graphics card, I started to use the (HEVC/AAC) encoder for rendering and I noticed that I can't see any thumbnails on the video when using it compare to the (AVC/AAC)

Is there a solution to this? Or it's a bug or something?

Edit: Oh I forgot to send a screenshot here's the link:https://ibb.co/cbggVsT

Thank you!

@KristianPH It is preferable to upload images here using the upload button rather than post to external sites. I've copied your image here

To my knowledge the thumbnails are created by Windows so presumably Windows cannot currently handle thumbnail creation from HEVC.

Hey there Eric, thank you for your comment I appreciated it, sorry for the link I'm new in this forum since I always search the solutions through Google and YouTube 😅

Regards to this so it's the windows that have the problem? If so does everyone has the same problem as I do when they use the HEVC?

Same for me; nothing to do with Vegas its a Windows limitation. Additionally VLC cant even play my vegas Mainconcept HEVC renders.

Okay after knowing that the Windows "is" the problem and not the encoder, I found a solution from the forum of Microsoft.

I installed this Windows app called "HEVC Video Extensions from Manufacturers" which you can find it here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/hevc-video-extensions-from-device-manufacturer/9n4wgh0z6vhq

And it worked like a charm! I hope it also helps!
