Help,
I'm currently at a stand still on a project. My timeline will not output audio through firewire! The funny thing is that it works from vegas capture First I thought the video was captured in wrong format so I captured a clip with vegas capture loaded into the timeline and no audio.
I have turned off / on all DV codec swithces in preferences

Any ideas?

current configuration

Win 2K
Delta 24/96 ASIO sound card
VV 4
Firewire Driver loaded -- trexas Instruments (OHCI) COmpliant Host COntroller driver ver. 5.0.2183.1
Microsoft DV camera and VCR

Sony digital 8 camcorder

video codecs loaded in windows
WDM video for windows capture driver (win32)
mcdvd_32.dll
Microsoft mpeg 4 video codec
msyuv.dll

TIA

Do you have audio through the computer speakers?

Vegas will only output audio through firewire when printing to tape. It will not do so while previewing from the timeline.

You remember incorrectly. When you play the timeline, Vegas will send the video signal to the external monitor and the audio through the sound card. When you do a Print Video to DV Tape, both audio and video will go via firewire.
