No turm-off real-time monitoring option

Full version of Vegas 4e but when I right click the audio input device in recording mode to where you select mono or steres and the audio input device there is no menue item to turn off sound monitoring while recording. I have to turn my volume control down instead.

Any thoughts?

The sound monitorong is controlled completely by your OS or soundcard audio software (ie volume control).

To not "monitor" it you can uncheck the "line in" on your mixer.

Or are you talking about the meters?

Yes that is what I had to do, butt he Vegas manual says it is switchable in Vegas in the dropdown I described, and this menu item is not there. See the Vegas manual under "Recording" and choosing Audio Input device and Stereo/Mono mode. In same dropdown.
