I've had it up to here with people who complain before they read the manual first.

I get perfect directions,, never a wrong turn

You really have to read the manual. Just install the MapQuest plugin and you're good to "go", so to speak!!
MJhig wrote on 9/19/2003, 12:31 PM
The MapQuest plugin is functionally adequate but I strongly recommend spending the money for the Rand McNally plugin and opt for the complementary dash compass and diamond lane dummy.

Yes, I understand very well.

However, I do find the coffee maker and the dishwasher plugin vital for my housekeeping - my only concern and sadness is the lack of forethought by the programmers to include a microwave and a financial advisor - Now something that would iron my shirts and take the dog for a walk would be good - teh - forgot, - dog died.

THAT's Another thing! How about a canine resuscitator? I'm sure the guys would get a real big thank you from our RSPCA - don't you know?

Oh well, I can live in hope . . .. .

Grazie . . . .. . . .

Grazie,

The dog you want to resuscitate, is it live or dead?
Zulqar-Cheema wrote on 9/19/2003, 5:00 PM
I guess the dog would have to half dead or alive depending on your outlook on life, otherwise there is no point indoing the resucitation.

But if you install the SP patch K-9 from Microsoft it won't matter, you can encode it either way and have your kibble and eat it too. John

I believe that feature was dropped early on in the development of Vegas 4.0.
SoFo realized that even if you had this feature, chances are that Wife 1.0 would usually be sitting next to you on the family trip. Seems Wife 1.0 had a nasty habit of overwriting Vegas 4.0's instuctions without asking for confirmation first.

I believe that ScreamingKids 6.0 would overpower Wife 1.0 and you would end up at DisneyWorld.

Response #1

Either you are using old, degraded source material or your hard drive is too heavily fragmented. You also might try a different PCI slot.

As a last ditch effort, try uninstalling then reinstalling.

Response #2

I see you did not post your system specs. We can't help you if you don't fill out your profile.

Zipps? You DO have a sense fun - ho! you old tease you!!!!

"This guy sure does complain a lot!!"

IF I had had the canine resucitator THEN the dog would not have DIED!!! - Cheemie read my post!! - Hmmmm... the sixty-nine [ girlfriend 6.9 ] option sounds . .. errmmm . . flavoursome indeed . . . .

MyST wrote on 9/20/2003, 7:25 PM
Hunter, you're not actually suggesting I install Girlfriend 6.9 on top of Wife 1.0 are you? Because I don't think they can coexist in the long term. Sure, it might be fun to see how they can both make use of my hardware at the same time, I think that after awhile I'm going to have to decide which is most suitable for my hard-drive. Girlfriend 6.9 and Wife 1.0 can't coexist on the same system for any length of time. I've heard of others trying to have those two on the same system, and after awhile, the system got so bogged down that the hard-drive was virtually frozen. Not good!!

True, at this point it's advantageous to wipe the HDD, go back to basics, take matters into one's own hand and keep everything lean and mean.

HOW WELL DOES THE MAPQUEST PLUG-IN WORK WITH STIX? IF YOU USE THE MAPQUEST PLUG-IN WHEN YOU RUB THEM, DO YOU GET FIRE?
Hunter wrote on 9/22/2003, 1:14 AM
Sorry I must clarify, the freak.99 plug-in is for Wife 1.0. But must be install in the back ground over a period of 7 to 10 days. If installed correctly Wife 1.0 will work with girlfriend 6.9. Some times Wife 1.0 needs an installer app called valium to install freak.99

Sorry for the confusion.
