Thanks a lot David !

How about not the whole project but just some tracks (not all of them) ?

FX can be added on 4 levels
1. Event level
2. Track level
3. Media(clip) level
4. Project level

And a fifth level, actually, which really is a master track fx. You need to apply this kind of fx as "Track FX" then make all the tracks which should be affected to Compositing Childs and set the fx order to be used after composite. I use this kind of master track fx alot.

I have found 1, 2, and 3. The fourth is what david-tu talked about, but the 5th seems even more interesting. I can't find it though.

judelaw wrote on 11/11/2018, 2:17 PM

yes, can't find it...

Marco. wrote on 11/11/2018, 2:23 PM

Do you know how to make tracks to Compositing Childs to an upper Parent Track?

judelaw wrote on 11/11/2018, 3:23 PM

I don't.

judelaw wrote on 11/11/2018, 3:40 PM

Alright, found it. Now how do I copy the effect from the output (project) to the parent track ?

judelaw wrote on 11/11/2018, 3:45 PM

I guess by saving the preset with a different name and then load it where I want to.

Marco. wrote on 11/11/2018, 4:18 PM

Yes.

judelaw wrote on 11/11/2018, 5:57 PM

Thank you !

Well, these were the first steps. Now on top of the FX window, drag "Composite" to the left so that the FX will affect the signal after it flowed through all the Child Tracks.

judelaw wrote on 11/11/2018, 10:16 PM

Indeed, I'm using the sony "very old film" effect", when the "composite" box is on the right of the "film effect" box then the dust effect for instance is present, but the colour isn't changed to sepia. While when the composite is on the left then the "very old film" effect fully works.

judelaw wrote on 11/11/2018, 10:21 PM

It's weird, if seems the flicker is now faster.

It makes me think I should be looking for more professional effects with nice presets. Because this Sony "very old film" effect is kind of annoying and boring even if I change the settings. I mean it was fun, but like 10 years ago.

So the master track question is solved for you now?

judelaw wrote on 11/12/2018, 5:04 AM

Yes, thanks a lot !
