no video playing

Help,
I captured video from camcorder as usual using firewire.I have done this several times... i saved project . then go to edit screen... drag up avi with the audio. I hit the spacebar to play. it shows the clip but no movement .I get audio but no moving video. Can anyone help ?

Do you see the video in the capture window when you are capturing it?

Does the video play in the trimmer?
