No Z Axis

I'm going through the V5 toutorial, when I got to the #D features I noticed that the Z axis function is not working. When I enable the Edit in Objest Space button, the letter Z does not appear in the center of the circle.
What am I missing?

Make sure you have the 3D track motion enabled , up in the upper left corner of the TM tool. If it's in 2D mode, you won't see it.
