Nobody using DV Master anymore ?? :(

Is the FAST DV Master Board supported by Vegas Video ?? I have the following results:

* DV Master Codec can be imported, but
* Preview only in the preview-window,approx. 1 frame per sec, but no preview on the Monitor connected to DVMaster.
* Render as DVM Codec causes an error after the first few frames "Problem with the codec"

Does anyone have ideas anyone ?? I know the DVM is an old fashioned board but it worked fine with other products, even under W2Kprof, but Vegas seems to be nicer :-)

Thanks for ANY help

I use DV master with vegas in my old PII 450, and I have no big problems. At this time I use a firewire board to digitize and render and I use DVmaster to output the final render with mediastudio in this computer. I have an other NLE with only firewire in a P4 2GHz, and I use all computers to digitize and rebder with te PAL Dv templates. They are net connected ( by firewire) and it works correctly.

DV master recognizes perfectly the DV codec by sonicfoundry, and outputs a very good signal via ilink to my DVcam recorder.

I hope it is useful for you, hr914.

josaver, which operating system are you running and which Version of DVM drivers ??
I use 1.7 , after reinstalling the drivers yesterdey, preview on monitor and rendering DVM in Vegas works fine. But I cannot playback files rendered wiith sonic DV codec in DV Manager - They are simply ignored !

I use DVM 1.7 and WIN ME.

The files created in vegas with DV Pal template works fine in DV manager.they are dvsd 720x576 (4:3) and audio is PCM 48 Hz 16 bit stereo. Try unselecting the Open DML option, is incompatible with dv master and mediastudio, and also the option to strictly concenrn de opne DMl option in the vegas options. The little problem is that the files have the 2 GB limit. But if you make the final render with MS6 you have the powerplay and no problem.
